The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), through the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), is pleased to announce the re-launch of its toll-free helpline (1800-180-3024) as an advanced Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). This upgraded system is designed to enhance patient safety, improve ADR reporting, and also to solve the queries related to Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP), IP monographs & general chapters, and IP Online. This upgraded system will also streamline query resolution with respect to IP Reference Standards and Impurity Substances, Calibrator Tablets, the PT program & Botanical Reference Standards. This system will also ensure query resolution for the National Formulary of India (NFI) and other reference manuals, along with various guidance manuals published by IPC.

Multilingual ADR Reporting Support Patients and healthcare professionals can report Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) related to medicines, vaccines, and medical devices in 10 languages (Hindi, English, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, and Tamil), promoting inclusivity and ease of communication.
Query Resolution for IP, IPRS & NFI The helpline provides expert support for queries related to the Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP), IP Reference Standards (IPRS), and the National Formulary of India (NFI). These services are available in bilingual format (English and Hindi).
Operating Hours & Voicemail Facility The helpline is available Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Outside these hours, callers may leave a voicemail with their name, contact number, and a brief message. The concerned team will respond on the next working day.
